Easily create and manage custom documentation pages for your site. Use this plugin to add, edit, or remove pages that appear in your documentation plugin. Great for organizing guides, help content, or internal notes.
To add a new page: Go to: Site Administration → Plugins → Local Plugins → Manage Pages
Configure how and when your page appears to users, along with advanced access and SEO options.
🔘 Page Status
Choose the current status of the page:
Live – Publicly available (depending on visibility settings)
Draft – Saved but not visible to users
Archived – Retained for reference but no longer active
🔐 Visibility for Logged-in Users Only
Yes – The page is only visible to logged-in users.
Non-logged-in and guest users will see a message indicating the page is restricted.
No – The page is visible to everyone, including guest users.
📅 Publishing Window
Set specific start and end dates for when the page should be published:
Start Date – The date and time the page becomes available
End Date – The date and time the page is unpublished
🔑 Access Capability
Specify a capability string to restrict access based on user roles or permissions. (recommended only for developers)
🌐 Friendly URL
Provide a clean, readable URL for your page.
Use only letters, numbers, and hyphens.
Example:
about-us
→ http://your-site-url/local/page/about-us
Note: Requires mod_rewrite enabled
📝 Content Description
Add a brief internal description of the page. This won’t be shown on the page itself but helps with organization and management.
🆔 Page Classes
Each page is automatically assigned a unique ID and CSS class: .local-page-id-1
Use these classes for custom styling or targeting with JavaScript.
Optimize how your documentation pages appear in search engines and on social media platforms by configuring the following SEO options:
Meta Title The title displayed in browser tabs and search engine results.
Meta Description A brief summary of the page content, shown in search engine snippets.
Meta Keywords A comma-separated list of relevant keywords to help with search engine indexing.
Meta Author The name of the content author or organization.
Meta Robots
Specify how search engines should index and crawl the page (e.g., index, follow
or noindex, nofollow
).
Open Graph Image File Upload an image that will be used when your page is shared on social media (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn). Recommended size: 1200x630 pixels.
